JDE and Webcenter IPM Integration

With 9.1 release of JDE(E1)

This is very important for the APAutomation project, having JDE as the ERP system.

Alredy support for the Oracle EBS and Peoplesoft ERP system integration with the IPM/UCM.

Now possible to integrate JDE (9.1) with IPM/UCM,a important step for the implementation of  APAutomation called as JD Edwards Web integration.

With JD Edwards Web integration invoices/images which are stored in UCM through IPM/or directly from UCM is searchable from the JDE end.

It is one of the most valuable integration provided.

JD Edwards Web integration, also known as JDE Tight integration or Process Automation, touches many aspects of the JDE system and IPM system. It provides seamless integration to JDE Web client, enabling users to search and view IPM documents, open packages, as well as update and complete IPM Process packages without leaving JDE Web client.

It is recommended that one should have basic understanding of JDE system and IPM system (including Imaging, Process and Web) in order to have better understanding

Searching Images in IPM System

Step 1 to 4: The request is sent from JDE Web client all the way to IPM Backend servers to retrieve user information, maps, how the integration should be executed, along with the values from JDE Web form. For the     purpose of this document the process is simplified, in fact it includes many steps such as SOAP calls, XML files, database requests, etc.

Step 5 to 8: The JDE Web client receives the constructed URL which has all information above.

Step 9: The JDE Web client execute the received URL against IPM Web Server, and display the result.

Executing Other Commands
When certain commands (Open Work list or Select Profiles) are executed, the result is retrieved and stored by JDE Logic server in step 6, and directly displayed in JDE Web client in step 8. In this case, Step 9 is not needed.

The data flow in JDE Web integration is shown below:
